Funny...
Thanks for the chuckle.

and yes... what the hell is salami anyway??

margie

are the kids throwing up? that should be a good indicator.

Angie @ KEEP BELIEVING

The only jello I like has vodka in in it. My kids hate Jello, too. Dates are a guideline except on milk. I think when milk gets to its date it is nasty. And when it smells bad, to me it tastes bad.

I sat in a class, well, two of them really, to be able to answer those questions to the satisfaction of the State of Texas. And I wonder why my kids think I am boring?

Anne

I have never experienced milk smelling bad and tasting fine, although if it smells bad I don't think I would try it to see how it tastes. I don't think Jello ever goes bad. Isn't it just sugar? Have fun cleaning the fridge!

Lidian

The Jell-O Fairy put the Jell-O in your fridge. She visits houses every night and sticks strange gelatin molds in people's fridges.

She comes around here sometimes, I know that.

And Jell-O never ever goes bad - like diamonds, it is forever. Also shiny.

I wish that the Diamond Fairy would sub for the Jell-O one some time! ;)

Vicki@frugalmomknowsbest

First of all, who drinks the milk after they smell it and it smells bad? If it smells bad, I throw it away, I don't want to feel the chunks ewwww. And I don't know about Salami. Is it like hotdogs? I don't know.

I always smell my meat to see if I want to use it. Its so hard with turkey.

I never use milk if it smells bad. I think it taste funny.

Great list.

I left you an award on my blog. http://www.heartsmakefamilies.com

Katie @ Can't Get There From Here

I think if you throw it all out, you would have room for a nice big cake. :)

ModernMom

LOL
Oh if it smells bad just ask your husband to taste it and see if its OK??
HA!

Fannie

Why yes, I am reading this more than two weeks after you posted. I say if the smell of the lunch meat doesn't make you recoil you can still eat it! ;)

Vanessa Taylor

I have tasted milk that smells bad (before the exp.date) only because I hate to throw away my hard earned money. Sometimes I buy a pint and it still goes bad before the exp. date. If it tastes fine does not have any curds I do not see anything wrong with it.
