I will be back with my kids to make them read this. They think I am the only mom who has such "ridiculous" rules. :)

Nikki

And additionally, you're preventing them from becoming 17 yr olds who walk around town in pajamas, which makes me insane. In the words of Clinton Kelly, "I had to get dressed today and SO DO YOU!" So actually, someone else does care.

raisingz

That was great :) I do have to admit though that in college I did show up to a few of my 8 AM classes in PJ bottoms......if I took the time to get dressed, I would have been late :)

Becki

Amen!

Okay...does walking the dog super early in the mornng count? Cuz...when he wakes up before seven, during the summer, I walk him in my tank top and pj shorts. Bad example, huh. Sorry.

margie

i guess now is not the time to tell you that i used to put my fur coat on over the nightgown, dark glasses, lipstick, boots and drive the older kids to school when al was a baby. ahem. personally i think you being a little rough on the daughter, but hey, not my kid. at least it's not raining like it is here, again. damn canadian weather.

Kath

I used to walk the dog in my fur coat and pyjamas ... Margie and I were all over the pyjama / fur coat fashion back in the day!
haha

Your child has a great future as a suburban homemaker. I believe your post could be applied to 70% or better of the mommies in the morning carpool lanes here in Pleasant Suburb. Oddly, the daddies all seem to get dressed before heading outdoors.

I am 31 and I still wear some pjs out. Usually when I need something quick and comfy. They have to look like clothes. Funny thing is I have a dress that looks like a few nightgowns that I have and have some yoga pants that look exactly like some of the pj pants I have so I don't see why it is a big deal. My mom hates it when she can tell like when you see someone with sleeping teddie bears on their pants. She has never noticed on me.

Stacie

ROFL I had to chuckle that is just too funny! My son does the same thing and it drives me bonkers.

My Journey

This is a good one! Hopefully some of the moms who drop their kids off at school or other activities will realize it isn't cool for them to go out in their jammies either. OTOH I have been known to run out quickly to the garden or sit on the dock sipping coffee while still in my jammies :)

Stephanie

What about moms? Can *I* go out in PJ's?
But, but, but...they are soooooo comfy!
:-)

I'm Leanne and I'm a tired mama. I work, I parent, I juggle and I don't seem to get enough sleep. Welcome to the place where I rant about all these things...
