What this country needs is more free speech worth listening to. - Hansell B. Ducket. I read this last night and wondered if this is why blogging is now so popular.
I'm currently reading The Post-Birthday World by Lionel Shriver. Lionel is a lady. Go figure. Have you got time to read? Skip this book and read The Thirteenth Tale by Diane Setterfield instead, it's a much better read.
I'm walking in the 'Telus Walk to Cure Diabetes' on Sunday with my two daughters. The event is designed to raise awareness about juvenile (Type 1) diabetes, and raise much needed funds to continue essential JDRF funded research programs. I'm looking forward to spending some time with my own two girls as well as a few girlfriends and their daughters. As of today they are forecasting rain for the day. Ah well, that'll just make us walk faster.
Written on the brick wall outside my university classroom during finals were the words; 'The walls have ears, and your ears have walls.' Interesting. I had to explain it to one of the 'kids' in my class though. Oy.
That's all I've got. I'm off to pull apart more of my backyard. Have a great weekend.
I'm Leanne and I'm a tired mama. I work, I parent, I juggle and I don't seem to get enough sleep. Welcome to the place where I rant about all these things...

I read the Thirteenth Tale a couple months ago - I loved it....
