I've seen a lot of advertising for Valentine's Day that talks about spending this special day with one's soul mate.
I love my husband. He's a great person, we've been together for twenty-four years and we've been married for almost nineteen years.
My husband and I don't refer to each other as soul mates though, we call each other, 'cellmates'.
Yep, the hubby and I are in this for the long haul, these kids, this mortgage, these car payments - it's a life sentence.
Besides, what the heck is a soul mate anyway? Isn't that someone we're supposed to be spending our lives looking for and NEVER finding?
My cellmate? He's here day in and day out, helping with kids, making meals, paying bills and emptying the dishwasher.
I'll take my cellmate over some lost soul mate any day.
So, Happy Valentine's Day, TiredPapa
I love you.
And thanks for um, doing time with me.
I'm Leanne and I'm a tired mama. I work, I parent, I juggle and I don't seem to get enough sleep. Welcome to the place where I rant about all these things...
